CURRICULUM VITAE

Aikaterini Kalogeropoulou is a Clinical Dietitian-Nutritionist, who graduated from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics of the International University of Greece (ex. “Nutrition” Department of the ATEI of Thessaloniki). Aikaterini’s postgraduate studies were in clinical nutrition at the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics of Harokopio University of Athens and in Metabolic Bone Disease at the Medical School of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She has additional training in Lipidology (Excellence in Lipidology), “Pathophysiology diagnostic approach and treatment of dyslipidemias” from the Hellenic Society of Atherosclerosis. She is also certified specialist in the Education and Training for Children with Special Needs, by Aegean University.

She has completed several postgraduate seminars and systematically attends conferences about nutrition, prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease, diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis, climacteric and menopause, clinical nutrition, and metabolism (ESPEN), nutritional support in diabetes mellitus (type I, II), nutritional support in cancer, prevention of childhood and adolescence obesity, etc.

From 2008 until today, she has been working as a self-employed Clinical Dietitian – Nutritionist and for several years she has been acting as an external partner nutritionist at sports centers in Athens.

She has been involved extensively with nutritional support in clinical conditions such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes mellitus (type I, II), hypertension, metabolic syndrome, cancer, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), infertility, metabolic bone diseases, obesity, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), digestion, eating disorders. Also, she has many years of scientific experience in nutritional support in lactation and Pregnancy, in prevention and treatment of childhood obesity, sports nutrition, and body weight maintenance.

From 2019 to 2020, Aikaterini also worked as a lecturer of Dietetics at public company of Etoile by le chefs.

And from 2013 to 2016, she has been an active fellow researcher at the Harokopio University, taking part in following projects:

  • Development and implementation of a program to promote physical activity for children and adults in Attica. Beat the streets.
  • Families across Europe following a hEalthy Lifestyle FOR Diabetes prevention.
  • ATTICA epidemiological study (Ten-year follow up).

  • She has made speeches for the public about the “Consumption and Eating Habits” Childhood Obesity «Prevention and Treatment» and “Energy Balance and needs for energy and calorigenic nutrients in athletes”. She is a member of the Hellenic Atherosclerosis Society (EEA).
